Wow, it's been a real long time since I posted! Here's what I've been up to recently:

Turned a plain tshirt into a shrug based on a tutorial I found on Cut Out + Keep. (I put another shirt inside for contrast.)

Turned an old jeans skirt into a shoulder bag. I just posted the steps on my blog here (http://www.georgettetan.com/2009/09/jeans-bag/).

Made myself a simple wallet out of an old pair of denim shorts. This was more difficult that I thought and I can see where my mistakes are, but overall I'm happy with the results. I like minimalists wallets and they're hard to find here.

As a bonus, the accent piece matches my pendant! I made the pendant a few years ago and had some extra pieces lying around, so I fixed it to the front of the wallet to hide the ends of the elastic.

that shrug remindes me of little red riding hood (in a good way;))

Thanks everyone!

I forgot to mention that the flower/accent piece is a bunga terung or Borneon Rose. Those of you familiar with traditional tattoos might recognise it as a common motif in the Iban community of Sarawak.
