also,this guy was selling hats the he had made himself. gir and panda ones. it was cool!

i was thinking about doing the cat ear thing, or dinosaur spikes, and theres a great pattern in "sew subversive" (by melissa Rannels and melisa alvarado and hope meng) if you need a place to start from. its a great book so check it out at the library and it actually shows you how to make things that you actually want to make... and its easy to follow... so check it out. I hope this helps. And you're so lucky u got to go to an anime convention!!! I went to comic con, and that was fun, but i wish there were more conventions around here... especially DIY ones.
