My corset.

Alright, so, I started on my corset yesterday. I should be getting all my boning within the next week, hopefully. I will at least get half of it within two weeks. I made my own pattern and have tried on the mock-up already so I knew my pattern worked... But I was so absolutely freaking out. I didn't want to cut this pretty fabric and screw up..... But I don't think I have, so far, so I can relax for a little while and try not to kill myself...

Just cut out the majority of the pieces.... ;-; I didn't fuck up! But then again, I added a HUGE seam allowance so that i wouldn't.

Good luck! It looks great so far--but isn't it terrifying cutting into good fabric? I usually allow myself ten seconds to chew my lips and furrow my brow over it, and then I just gotta dive in.

Haha, yeah, I was SO SCARED, ARGH!!! But I just sewed it all up and it fit and I feel so good and I just... /rejoices

And, yeah, haha. My cat keeps trying to sleep on the fabric. He's mad at me because we ran out of food and so he's being a priss. I picked up all the pins I dropped by my machine over the months, and he jumped on the table, looks straight at me, and smacks them off. Ahahaha, but I love him. He's so adorable.

Very hard to unfold, hehehe. Can't wait until until I get my boning. I'm taking a break the rest of the night, but going to make the lining tomorrow.

ahh, my dogs do the same thing your cat does... what's with animals and fabric? But it's coming along good, and the fabric looks awesome

Ladykatza; yes, I did. I did two fittings and then cut. It was really, horrifically scary. xD But so far, it's working for me.

vicki; idk. : / Mostly, i think mine just try to give me a heart attack. He only does it when I have everything laid out and straight, so when he walks on it he messes it all up. ;-; But at least he's cute.

haha, agreed! i dont know how many times i had to yell at my last cat for laying on my fabric. not only did he get cat h all over it but i was always so afraid of him getting stabbed with the pins :(

HOORAY! Good luck! I finally finished putting in my boning channels and the boning. The final fitting made me go squeee. I can't wait to see your finished product!
