I bought a sheet at a yard sale for $1, and made it into this dress! So here is my one dollar dress. I used this (http://www.burdastyle.com/howto/show/65 (http://www.burdastyle.com/howto/show/65))tutorial with a few modifications, I shortened the sleeve and cut and sewed the shoulder seems to make a shorter dress. Also I sewed elastic at the waist instead of making a belt.

I also sewed a few pleats at the neck so it wouldn't be off the shoulder.

When I make this dress again I will probably make the neck opening a ton smaller and maybe make it into a normal tank dress style instead of with sleeves. This dress was kind of therapy sewing, I'm going through a tough break up.

I love the dress the print on the fabric is awesome!!! I will look into making a dress like that for myself for sure. I think its great that you made the dress for only a buck !! thats something i would totally do and the best thing is no one would ever know looking at it that it was a sheet. And i agree SEWING IS THERAPY!
