Crochet summer hat

I saw some instructions online for this summer cap. I started this morning, and finished relatively quickly. I think its kinda plain so I may add something to it. If you guys have ideas, let me know!

I just added a brim :) I think its got a bit more character. you think a flower on the side would be too much?

i crocheted a huge flower earlier today but haven't attached it yet. i'll post a picture later.

i think a huge flower would be perfect! how did you make the brim? i might also ask how you made your flower when you put it up. or i might look it up through google...but it sounds like great idea!

Sorry guys :/... My mom saw the hat sitting on the counter while I was out and decided to lose it for some odd reason. I can take a picture of the flower.. But as of right now I don't have the hat. Haha

In a LOUD colour maybe?
You could also use pearls or ribbons.... something in purple would be great.... For example you could use a big button on the flower.... in the middle and with the button you can attach it... =)

Thanks everyone! I really like the idea of another color button. I thought about making the flower a different color, but I didn't want to take away from the neutrality (<--word?) of the hat. That's why I went with the same color (plus, I didn't feel like going out to match up a color scheme, kinda lazy, i know).

I may definitely put another color button on there, though. Thanks tinkerbell! I knew there was good in posting on Threadbanger.

If you browse the archives, The hat pattern is from "V-Stitch Crochet Summer Hat" under March.

The bill of the hat is from "Crochet a Hat with Brim" under May. (I didn't do the last row, though because I didn't want the Brim to be too big)

and the flower is called "Loopy Flower Crochet" Under 2008 and then June. She's got loads of other flower patterns on there as well, though.
