After a week of unraveling thread because I did not make sure I have right sides together before sewing, here's the Hoodie Scarf Tutorial!
To make this hoodie scarf:

First, find two XL t-shirts or suitable fabric. If you are using t-shirts, cut off the seams at the bottom of the shirts. The following directions are for both t-shirts, so just do everything twice, once for each tee. Cut two tubes approximately 6 inches in width (or to taste).

Use the back of what's left of the t-shirt to make the hood. Cut off the sleeves and cut out the back.

Fold the back of the t-shirt in half and cut out a hood shape, an exaggerated "J". You will end up with a half circle shape.

Next, cut the half circle hood in half like so.

Then, with right sides together, sew up the curved edge of the hood.

With right sides together, tuck one hood inside the other and sew both pieces together along the straight edge. Leave the bottom of the hood open.

Now, leaving the hood, go to the tubes and cut the tubes in half. You now have a total of four long rectangles.

Sew two matching rectangles to get one long scarf length rectangle.

With right sides together, pin the two scarf pieces together. Turn hood right side out.
http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc149/zombied_dyi/100_1241.jpg
Tuck hood in between the two scarf pieces like this.

Seriously, make sure all right sides are together. Now, sew up scarf but keep in mind two things: leave a large opening so that you can turn scarf right side out AND sew around the hood, not straight through.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc149/zombied_dyi/100_1244.jpg
For example, when I get to the hood, I would separate the black part of the hood from the red part. I would sew the black part of the hood to the black part of the scarf. Then, I would go around and sew the red part of the hood to the red part of the scarf.
Once done sewing up the scarf (leaving a large opening), put your arm through scarf and pull scarf right side out.

Sew up the opening (using a whipstitch makes the stitches almost invisible), and wear scarf!

Ignore my cat please.
