Some of you may remember that my first post on the Threadbanger forum was of a doll i made based on Louis XVI which has since then inherited the name Viscount Marwood.

I've been neglecting him and his wardrobe lately due to being snowed under with university work, but now that my first year's over i felt he deserved some new clothes!
I'm making him a mourning outfit: for those occasions when he need to attend state funerals and the like.

His new hair tie:
I had some black cotton tape lying at the bottom of my sewing kit bag. I sewed a little ribbon/gemstone detail onto it. One of my housemates remarked that from the back he looks like Karl Lagerfeld!

His frock coat:
The base of it is made from black drill cotton which i'm slowly covering with miscellaneous scraps of black fabric from an amazing website called Dalston Mill Fabrics (they send you free samples and even pay the postage and packing too!)

there's beaded lace, fishnet, borcade, velvet, pvc etc etc.

More to come soon!! :D
