I made this dress for my daughter using a twin sized sheet.

Aw, both dresses are adorable, your daughter looks so proud.
I kind of want a grown-up version of the dolly dress. I think it's the apple applique'.

Those dresses are so cute. Not as cute as your daughter, of course. I really miss sewing for my girls, but am looking forward to sewing for some grandbabies. Eventually. It is so much fun sewing cute itty bitty clothes. And when she gets old enough you can teach her to sew too.

Thanks everyone!
ladyjane - I want a full sized version of the doll dress, too! I love those little apples, which I found on thrifted curtains!
Ivy Frozen - I made the dress because she saw your Princess Jasmine dress & insisted she have a dress with Princess Jasmine on it. Luckily, we found these sheets in the attic. They used to be her Aunt Kristine's.
Backseat Betty - The zipper was actually a breeze to put it. Because it was long & it seperated. Zippers aren't as daunting as they seem.
timidgothica - Glad you said the earrings match the zipper...She was mad that I used a yellow zipper & the fact that it matched the earrings was my defense. To which she said "oh yeah, okay mommy".
Animama - I am already teaching her to sew. She has her own machine & she makes her babies pillows and odd shaped hats. :)
