Aunt To-be

So I'm super stoked because my brother just recently told me that I'm going to be an aunt!
Obviously I'm going to make a butt-load of stuff for this kid. So I'd just like to hear what kinds of awesome one-of-a-kind things you guys have come across for babies. Also some pointers on baby clothes/toys, faux pas and whatnot.

As for clothing it depends on whether you're going to have a niece or a nephew. But for my little brother I made a quilt out of a bunch of mine and my sibling's old t-shirts. But I'm no good at making baby clothes, so the quilt thing just popped into my head

Use tons of scrap yarns for the knit part and some recycled cottons for the sewn part.

I'd love to make another t-shirt quilt, but I'm fresh out from making too many lol.

you should check out the thread on my VIRTUAL BABY SHOWER that the TBers did for me..there's TONS of cute things..and I'm sure if you PMed some of them they'd be happy to tell you how they did it. I"ve got more pics to come as there's still some things in transit.
