Pattern making time !

Yes, I did put my bra on the dressform (my dress form doesn't allow me to have a large bus, but a smaller underbust... so pretty much it thinks I wear an A cup)

ANYWAY,

Top:
First, I folded it in half, so it's perfectly symmetrical

Then, I unfolded it and did both sides...with the darting

alright, I redid the draping thing
but my cheap fabric sucks for draping (duh)

my sister bought the fabric yesterday..
we couldnt find any colors I wanted that looked good on my skin =[
so no sunset kinda theme..
it's like a grayish purple (the way the light hits it, it's like 2 colors, ya know) crepe-back satin... and then maroon ish organza

I'm at my sister's and I forgot my cord so..no pics for now =[

I figured out how to drape it (differently from the pic above)
Humm... oh, and I think I just lucked out with my 4 yds, as long as I don't mess up >.<

left: the organza (only for the top, you'll see)
right: crepe-back satin (main dress; not using the crepe back, only the satin...)

AH yay for you making your prom dress! I made 2 of mine when I was in high school! It was super fun! Also this last February I made my ballgown for this benefit I went to... I also have a bad habit of waiting till the day before to get it done. >.<

cause Friday night, I have to buy heels (cause my sister's are all 4-5" and that's too tall for my dress, my dress would be too short if I wore 4-5" heels)

Saturday, I have a hair appointment!
My mom knows someone who'll do my hair (dye, cut, shampoo, dry, style) for like $30 !
