You guys, GRR! I'm sitting here listening to my next door neighbor talk loudly on the phone on his lanai about how "it's not [his] fault, the girls just start flirting with [HIM] first..." about his wife being pissed (having just had a baby) and wanting to leave him.
To make the situation even MORE classy, he's pausing to shout at his dog, possibly maybe just smacked him (from the sound of that yipe and the guy yelling "Shut up, dumb dog! Go -away-!")
This dog is just bouncing around all over, barking, trying to get his attention. He's left outside for HOURS and hours a day, living in a small enclosed cement slab porch with some ripped up chairs, empty dog bowls and his own mess. Right outside the fence is a dog park, and he must be watching all these other dogs out to play ALL day, trapped behind the gate.
When I first talked to the neighbors about him, they said when he was barking I should "just hit him". I've gone over and asked if I could take him out for a walk or to run around (since she's busy with the baby) and things like that, but I'm always declined!
Finally, I just reported them about the fecal matter and him going for hours without food or water. I think my housing development is going to send a note. I wonder if there's a way I can spy to see if they've actually hit him.
BAH! What I don't understand is WHY the hell do you get a dog, if you don't smurfing want to take care of it?? That poor dog is over there, dying for his owner's attention and the guy is just irritated. WHY do you think he's that hyper, you dumb&*$ ?? Because he hasn't had attention ALL day!
Maaaaan, I am SO sick and tired of people who neglect their pets! I'm sure you'd all agree with me. Grr! If you can think of anything else I can do, let me know. Maybe you've dealt with a situation like this before?
Once I get the okay that we're moving out of this house, I'm gunna march over, knock on their door, and give them a piece of my mind about how they treat that animal! So far I've tried to be super friendly so I don't sound like a nag-- in hopes that they'd think I was being a helpful neighbor and do something like let me walk him about... But grr, again! Neglect is just as bad as the verbal, and possibly physical, abuse. Makes me mad as hell!
