So You know its good to be different, to do wear what you want? Well i started wearing plaid shorts like a year, ago, and everybody, made fun of me, but i love me a pair of plaid shorts. Now everybody has a pair of plaid shorts in there dresser, if not to or three... But i still have 7, and whenever sum1 wears them everybody goes "hey you wearing parker (my name) shorts!" But still its smurfs me off wen all these peeps made fun of me, but then i set a trend.

heh burberry is a fad that I'll never understand. But still, that always happens. Same thing with the whole DIY movement. I started among my friends/school doing uniquely stylish items and was laughed at for it (they called me cheap and eccentric).... until it got featured in a high school fashion show , now everyone is trying to be "creative" and "resourceful"
then again, I guess that's a good thing over all...still, I miss being one of the few teens in high school who loved and frequented thrift stores all the time....le sigh

I'm been two years ahead of the fashion curve my whole life. I can guarantee that the stuff that I'm getting made fun of for now will be the popular thing in exactly two years.

lately i've been in love with this dark grey duster (long jacket) i found at a salvation army thrift store. i'm short so it goes down to below my knees. the temperature where i live averages in the 80s or 90s depending on if it's summer or winter, so it's often too hot to be wearing a jacket, but i wear it anyways. a lot of my friends absolutely love it, but a lot of other people give me weird looks. especially when i hang out with my friend sam who almost always wears a trench coat or a leather fur lined jacket. ^^

same thing with myself and my best friend in high school.. everyone thought we were nuts and old fashioned!! and when all i wanted for my birthday was a sewing machine, that sealed the deal, i was then a 90-year-old woman, lol. but who's crawling to us now to make them things cuz they dont own a sewing machine? UH HUH! so the tables have turned! i sure do love it when that happens! :]

dude, if I saw you wearing plaid shorts around me, I would like fricking hug you. Plaid rules. But yeah, it sucks how many people make fun of what people wear. Here's a tip: only take advice/critisism from people who dress like you. Now, this may sound like you would be avoiding critisism, but thats not true. Because this way you will have the opinion of someone who doesn't judge your clothes because their different from what they're wearing, but because they actually like/dislike them.
Screw those people?
I (as well as this AWESOME girl I know) wear dirtbike gloves now just about everyday and we get hell for it.
If I see people who cannot even name a dirtbike brand wearing a pair in a year, I think I'll have to shank some people...
