Maria- Twelfth Night.

My latest unit at Uni is called RRR (Renaissance to Restoration Realisation) in which we design and make a costume for William Shakespeares 'Twelfth Night'. The character i'm designing for is Maria.

The black cotton tape on the front of the bodice marks where i'll be placing a stomacher in a contrasting fabric.

The card its the pattern for a wire supported collar which will tie onto the bodice through small eyelets on the straps.

I think i have a picture of the design somewhere!!

I'm very behind on it actually. I have to have in final top fabric ready for 11 on monday morning when i have my final fitting with a 2nd year actress!

well that was a few weeks ago. Tomorrow is my hand in for this costume...i'm nearly done,,just working on the bias binding and putting the sleeves in :)

this is really cool. our theatre program is doing a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream this summer, and i think i'm helping with costumes.

i really love all the renaissance stuff, it's fun to mess around with.
