I've been making hats for the last six months, in various shapes and sizes. These are either done on vintage yarns, or yarns that have been reclaimed from the various "unwearables" in my vast sweater collection...

I really like the colors of all of your hats and the texture on the last one is reall cool. Good job!

that's called a slip-stitch motif, and it's one of the easiest ways to get some fancy-looking color work without having to beat your brains out doing fair isle. It's what you graduate to after you learn to do stripes.
