My cousin Jake and his wife Kate are having a baby fairly soon and I brought up the subject to my mother that "Hey, mom, did you guys do ANYTHING for Kate in terms of a baby shower? I mean, she's bringing another of our lifebloods into the family... ay?" So she hurried on to the phone and called Auntie Linda and was all "THIS FRIDAY AT HAPPY HOUR! BABY! KATE! SHOWER HER WE WILL!" (They get together every Friday at my nanny's anyways.) Long story short, Jake and Kate HATE it when people buy things for them. SO I DECIDED TO MAKE STOOFS!
I hauled out the onesie that my mother brought both my brother, (1983) and myself (1990) home from the hospital in, laid it out flat, made a pattern and got to work. I used an old nightie that is Blue if it's a boy, but it has kitties on it so it balances it out to be somewhat neutral.
