i go to school for fashion (working for the enemy, and trust me, this place IS the enemy) possibly the only cool things we get to do are styling shoots.
this first one was a hollywood diva themed one that i just couldn't find anything i liked for, so i ran to value village (we all know it's a place you run/skip giddily too) i found a rather unfortunate pink dress, the bottom was cut on the bias and reminded me of a figure skating costume. after spending about a week handsewing sequin tape onto the bottom i discovered that that just made it look MORE like a skate costume.
fab.
so instead i grabbed some scrap purple fabric and made a divine lil tunic

this second one was where i was allowed to do whatever i wanted. i picked a kind of wicked theme, based off the fab green umbrella. i made the hat and skirt :)

and a better one of the skirt, sorry about the sidewaysness (unless it didn't load sideways, then yay!)

i think i need to lower the hem by like an inch before i sell it... or maybe not, i mean, how many girls are 5'10"?!
thanks for reading my life story in picture commentaries :)

I love the green one! The ruffled skirt really makes it interesting, and I think it's cool that you got your inspiration from a sparkly green parasol!

So cute! Love it all. What fabric did you use for the black skirt?

thank you guys so much!
i actually blushed and squealed when i saw people commented :)

happyheadcase: the green umbrella is actually an interesting story, we did wicked for musical theatre last year, and we did a whole dance with them, and i saw it when i was ironing something else and was like "AHA!" and my mother wanted me to throw it away....

animama: for the skirt i used an acetate taffeta, it was the closest thing i could find to duppioni silk. i wanted the silk sooo badly, but i didn't want the $15/m price tag.

lucasfan123: thanks so much :) and i totally wish i could walk on walls. that would be like max ability. or did you ever do that thing where you try to run up the wall and flip off of it?

as for the creeper guy, i must say, i don't get him. there was like me, her, a makeup girl and a hair girl all outside wielding instruments. like when you SEE that wouldn't you run away?!
but seriously, thank you guys :)

The first picture inspired by Wicked is a BEAUTIFUL photo.

But that skirt is hot. LIke, really hot. Like, if I saw a girl wearing that I'd scream "DAMN SHE IS LOOKIN FIERCE!"
