i made this messenger bag the other day.. its pretty radical. :D

it looks like a monster.
i've named it clawson.

well its kind of hard to see but the black looking part by the teeth is actually burgundy canvas and that's also what i made the interior out of
the fabric for the teeth is just doubled over felt.
the fur is was some snazy stuff i got from joann.
and the pink is some rad cottny stuff that was on the clearance shelf at joann.

thanks for all of the comments on clawson..
i will start making him brothers and sisters soon and will hold adoptions on esty.. all sorts of monsters.. and vamps.. and emo boy heads.. i'm uber excited to begin working on it..
i'm not sure how much they will go for.. people are telling me to do it for 25 - 30 dollars..
what do you think..?

i used my sketchbook, a vague messengerbag pattern i found on google for a regular messenger bag and 3 hours of brainstorming.... umm all i can say is draw some groovy pic of a awesome monster.. transform it into a bag.. then its simple?

1. get fabric that fits your design and lifestyle perfectly.. remember its your bag.. SO MAKE IT FRIGGIN SHWEET =].. don't buy fabric that you think is just "ok"..its a waste of money and you'll be sorry when you see some fabric that would've made your "vampire" look even more blood thirsty..if you wear alotta "bling" make sure you get fur that won't get tangled easily when you grab your bag

2.pin always pin?

3. and sew? until it looks awesometastic =]

one tip to.. if you're gonna add a mouth to your monster.. its best if you sew it on to the right side of the outer-fabric before you add the lining..

actually there is a way i´ve heard that in the radioshacks of US (i live in mexico) they sell a sound card that can record and play, you can also se it in here (yes if you are asking, yes i am a total geek)
