Where are you from Grey Squirrel? Since you say 'up here' i'd think you're canadian too. In Quebec we have something similar called 'Jos Louis', so you probably have something also!!! A jos louis is 2 disk of chocolate cake separated by 1 layer of white icing and covered in chocolate. Yummy.

Yup, Ontario, near to Toronto.... "Joe" Louis are flat though, like hockey pucks...which I suppose is appropriate! I suppose you could make a cake from them, stacking them up.
I haven't had a Joe Louis for years. We call them Joe....same thing though
