Yeah, and I think you could go to a cloth shop in your area (Or a goodwill) and pick out some kind of simple cotton- maybe thin canvas- and use that. Something with a pattern, maybe, or something plain that just compliments the fabric. I suspect that the pants were some kind of fleecy fabric, so maybe denim would work as well.
