Hey everyone,
Just want to show you guys my highlight reel from a T.V. Pilot we did this summer. We built, designed, voiced, and puppeteered the puppet. The film just finished its post production so we made a quick highlight reel of some of our work.
By the way building the hat for this puppet was not fun. Way too many pleats.
Check it out and let me know what you think. Especially what you think of the construction of the puppet and the clothing for the puppet.

Awesome! I've been trying to make puppets for some time now. How did you learn? The basic face shape is posing problems for me. Is there a book or site that you would recommend?
And making a show out of it? A cooking show!?!? Genius!

Wow!!! Rob liked my stuff that just makes my day. :)
@jillenium ---- I'm glad you like my stuff. What type of puppet are you trying to make? If you would like to make one like the puppet I made. All you need to do is take about 8 petal shapes glue them together and you will get a sphere. That is how I got the head shape for the puppet. Then take some fabric and drape it over the form.
The are lots of sites for how to build puppets. I did a lot of trial and error early on in my puppet making. So I could understand the form and shape.
My recommendation would be to head over to indymogul.com they did a video on making puppets a while ago. It is a pretty good start. I basically use the same technique.
Hope that helps.

That is fantastic! Did you make all of the puppets in your videos? (Which, btw, are hilarious.) In any case, the puppet in this vid is really impressive!

Me too, I wanted lots more jokes.
He makes more jokes in the rest of the pilot that you don't see in the highlights. Some really bad puns as well.
The script did not have to many jokes though. Since this was the case most of the jokes were adlibbed by us during the filming process.
If you want videos with lots of jokes go check out our youtube channel some videos there are chock full of jokes.

or if you want you can see our video we submitted for the threadbanger sewing machine contest. Watch all the way through it gets really goofy by the end.

The puppet is adorable as is the show.
The hat looks like it took forever to make. Great work!
