Sooo I've gotten a sewing machine for chirstmas and I'm having a hard time leaving it alone.

it's a french memo board. you get a big stiff board, cover it with batting to make it fluffy and then cover it with fabric to make it pretty. you arrange ribbons in a lattice design, stapling the ends to the back, and put buttons where they intersect at the front. you can store photos and such by tucking a corner under the ribbon. it stays in place because it's all squishy. and i agree they're awesome!

It makes me smile to see all these people who have gotten sewing machines for Christmas ('cause I got one too--I think my mom got sick of me using hers daily). I love the message board and the fabric you used on it!
