haha glad you cracked the fortune cookie for this one :P BTW what did you use for the trim for the hoodie? I notice isn't not the ribbed material the tutorial mentions. Also, what kind material did you use for it?

I feel that the white trim makes you look too much like a Eskimo, now if you really wanted to play of the azn-ness of the hoodie, I think a black fabric would have been more appropriate. Then again it still looks mighty fine :P

I used the ribbed fabric on all the trims/edges but around the hood i just used the linning i used(witch was flannel) i noticed (while i was building it)the black would have looked soo good with the fabric i used but i already bought the white and its not cheap!!!!!

You'd be surprised - if you take your time and make small enough stitches, hand-stitching goes thru the wash without falling apart and shredding.

hye mine doesn't backstitch right either... i'm sad because i cant do pretty designs like chaos stitching anymore >_>

Saw your hoodie xdirectorx and had to make one my own, but the cable to the pedal burned off :eek: I will fix it as soon as possible but imagine what a chock it was to get a cloud of smoke in the face.

Friggin' awesome for a first big project, the fabric's great and personally I really like the white trimming. You get to expect black trimming on a hoddie so its nice for a change (and ot girly-ish at all). I'm jealous but still loving it.

i tried to make hoodie but failed miserably
when i made the sleeves they were too small
and i couldnt even fit my arm through cuz it was so tight
how did you get yours to fit?

Ryanmoore: the sleeves were hell
i did them all wrong first off
it took me trial and error
First i measured my arm from my tip of my finger to my shoulder
when i did this it came out amazingly short so i added an extension to it. it looks good and noone noticed the error
then i didn't have a measuring tape so i used the measurements from my t shirt sleeve for the "length" then for the cuff i like it kind of tight so i rolled a ruler around my hand to get the measurement and added an inch...

then i laid out some long paper and made a pattern from those measurements
and made a pattern
then i added the rib knit cuffs later

hope this makes since

I'm planning on to make another one soon
i already saw a fabric to make an amazing hoodie...

If you have probs with sewing get to know your machine. I got some scraps from the fabric store in town and just played around and got to know what i was doing. Haans craft stuffed animals are good projects too!
