Hi, this is my first stencil. I think I shall be putting it on a hoodie when I scrape enough money for the paint etc lawl. :)

The top two circles are for the ghosts eyes, the ones below are the food. And the gun will go over the ghost. ^^

I think I'm going to make it curl round so half is on the front and the ghost is on back. Along with the words "THE REAL LIFE CYCLE"

So whatd'ya all think for my first stencil.

OK, I'm stupid...what's the thingy just above the ghost? I never really played video games so I really sucked at them...I just don't remember anything looking like that in Pac-Man?

It doesnt really look like much tehe. Well its a flamethrower. But I think I'll be doing the flames freehand.

Oh! I did kind of think it was a skinny flamethrower or gun, but thought, guns in pac-man??? Pac-Man doesn't have arms! *g*

I would almost sudgest a cherry instead of the gun. It looks great though. You definatly need to post the finished project when its all done.

I'd definately say the gun is... Off-topic as far as Pac Man is concerned.

It might be better to do a simpler design, with Pac Man on the front, Ghost on the back, and pellets between them.

I was going to. :) I just didnt want to make the stencil do each individual pellet. lol

I still don't understand the flamethrower, though.

let me see if i understand you are going to make it a multi layered stencil?
and the gun thing big no no when it comes to pacman. you should change it to ms.packman.

I don't get it. How is that a life cycle? Where does Pacman die and come back? Or is this the life cycle of a ghost. And what's with the flamethrower?

I dont see wats the problem with the flamethrower. Its supposed to show the battle between pacman and the ghosts. :)

The other reason is that wanna keep it exciting. You reckon i should omitt it?

Well, you can put in anything you want. It's just not very clear. I think I get what you mean with the flame thrower now, kind of. It would be more clear with the fire drawn in. I wouldn't call it a lifecycle though, since there's no actual cycle. That's really the most confusing part.

There is nothing "wrong" with the stencil and i would say keep the flame thrower.

I think the hang up is that its confusing. The first question i have is why does the ghost have a flame thrower and pac man has to sit there like a little bitch. but maybe you just want the ghost to have the upper hand, then you could do the ghost burning pac man and forget about the food and energy thing.

also something to keep in mind. Make note of how many stencils you are going to need to get the picture that you want. ten think about the stuff you are going to use to make that pic. if you want it to be one colour you need to make one or two simple stencils. You could have the ghost burning pac man all as one stencil if you played with negative space. but i think what your invisioning is multi layer pic. IN that case you will need a few stencils. and a couple of colours. which is cool. and if you are going that way you may want to make eyes for pac man too.

oh, make sure you deal with islands. (like the space in the A) make sure you have a bridge or you just leave it out all together.

Any way good luck.

Its art...it can be in taken any way....it speaks a lot about Iraq to me personally and the state of our never ending life cycle of war.....right ?

Hm. Well, the gun kinda implies warfare, ESPECIALLY since we're "at war" or whatever bush is telling people nowadays. If that's not your intention, I'd get rid of it.

Food chain makes a LOT more sense

About the flamethrower, I dont think anyone would take offence. Then again i live in uk, trying without stereotyping we're less sensetive bout that stuff i think.

just curious who represents the u.s. pacman or the ghost with the flame thrower?

any ways i still think that you really don't need a flame thrower pacman is already scared of the ghost. and he "dies" every time he touches them.

It's a multilayered stenil. I'll put it over the top. It's not just a random gun. hehe. Does anyone have an idea hw much the fabric paint will cost?

hmm
fabric paint doesn't cost too much
unless you only have like $1...
around here they're about 2-4$ each, depending on where you go
