Honnestly, I have no idea how you call the pattern paper thing... So yeah, the title sucks. BUT I thought it would be funny to show you what I've done. It was originally an art project in my art class, but I found the media used so interresting, I had to share it with you.

So here's the basic idea:

Sorry for the picture quality, I know it really is mediocre. But you can see anyway, can you? Maybe I'll take more at daylight so you can see the translucid...ness.... o__O;

Media:
-Wire (different types, some smaller and some bigger wire)
-White Glue
-Pattern Paper things (You know, the brown-ish paper that you can cut a shirt pattern on so you can cut the same thing on the fabric itself?)

Technique:
I dipped the paper in the white glue and got the extra glue off, just so the paper gets some kind of translucide and shiny. I put paper all over the wire skeletton and now, if i put a light bulb in the sculpture, it glows and it looks like a lamp. ^^ yay

I want one.

Its actually an awsome idea. I hate those patterns vogue and butterwick make so why not make a lamp out of them since I do have a few of them around.

Haha I took my mom's ones and since there's a lot and white glue isn't costy at all, you can make dozens of those little lamps. I need to find big wire though. I might do a new one (new and finished, this time)

I'm glad you like the idea!
