When it came time to stretch the mesh fabric (in my case a section of dollar store panty hose) across the embroidery hoops I almost hit the iceburg that would sink my ship. If your design, and therefore set of hoops is sort of big, stretching that tiny piece of mesh can be and was the most horrible experience of my life. Just when I would get one side in, the other side would slip out. It was getting to be too much. I almost doubted the beautiful and talented Corinne, but then I came up with a quick fix, those black clips that business people use to clip papers together. Use as many as you need to clip sections in place inside the hoops. You can then stretch the rest of the fabric without it slipping out of the rings.
So finally, I have something to offer to the DIY world. If this is also your technique, please don't feel the need to tell me. I would really appreciate it.
