So I have yet another messenger bag made from the tutorial TomSawyer posted on the forums, but this time I taught my friend how to sew while she helped me make her own bag. We used three different fabrics to make this bag. Rainbow, checkered, and the inside is a stretchy fabric with DC written on it. We had many many problems while making this bag. Her machine broke, my presser foot broke (I fixed it), etc. After about two weeks of on and off again work we finally finished it, So we decided to have some fun, and we had a whole "photo shoot" in our neighborhood. We walked around for like an hour taking pictures of her and the bag, so there are a lot of them. :] Enough talk...

I also made the checkered and red bows using the tute from lafemmedramatique.
And just for fun...A picture of my friend using my machine...

I also made a pidge scarf that was supposed to originally be for me, but then I ended up giving it to my grandma in India.

Last, but not least a hat I crocheted for my baby cousin that is about to be born soon. I made another one for boy, but I never got a picture of it. :/

The messenger bag looks really good. Really cool fabric to use. And it's great you got to make them with a friend.

And can I just say that, as an Australian, your signature always makes me laugh when I see it.

I love the pidge scarf! Did you just knit/crochet a short scarf and put buttons on it? It looks really nice, and I'd love to try and make one for myself.

The messenger bad is pretty spectacular.

I love the fabric you used. How kind of you, teaching your friend how to sew. I would never have the patience. Oh God, I can just imagine. Anyways, thanks for spreading the DIY spirit around!

And the scarf is amazing. My sister is going to teach me how to knit when she comes down from college this week. Yayy!
