was sitting knitting and watching the movie: the golden compass, and half way trough i notised the lead actress's headweare.
it was so neat and seamed so easy to make so i went for it.

Norwegian winters... haha

i had a girl from norway live with me for a year (an exchange student). I remember it would be winter and i would be freezing my butt off wrapped up in blankets infront of the tv. Then i would look out the window and see her laying outside in a bikini and getting tan. I was so confused and slightly jealous that she could stand the cold so well.

and this christmas she is coming to visit, so she gets to tan in texas during the winter and look tan all year round in norway! :D

hehe we are vikings you know :P

and it was very easy to make, looks good when using thick yarn and i used 10 mm knitting needles. sewed it "closed" in the back of my head, and added the strings to tie it close whit :)

I MUST LEARN to knit ! I cant believe you can just see a hat and be like Oh I am going to knit that and it comes out that awesome. I'd have no idea where to start. Great Job!

well i live south east.. in halden really. going to move to Kristiansand in a little while :)

it is cold in Halden now, (im originaly from trondheim and used to REALLY cold weather), need all mitten, scarf and hood.
