Hi Threadbangers!!
This is my first time posting simply because I didn't think that anything I had done so far was worth showing to the world.
SO story, I went today to our campus Goodwill store, which I have been going to more and more frequently thanks to Threadbangers, and I have even gotten about 10 of my friends here to go too!!
Anyways, we went to the dress section here and I found this UGLY dress from some era that should never have made this dress. I did like the bottom of the dress though, so I tried it on and it fit me.
So I bought it for $7 and took it back with me.
I cut the bottom of the dress off, leaving about a 1/4" of fabric above the velvet belt thing to sew it up to make it look nice.
UNFORTUNATELY, I left my machine at home when I came here to school, so I had to sew the old skool way, BY HAND. It took me about 3 hours, but it looks great, and wears great too! I am still deciding if I want to put in some elastic to the waist or not. Who knows for now.

And I am so sorry for the pictures being sideways....I still haven't figured this thing out fully yet.
