Anyways, I decided during the summer I wanted to make a Batman character costume. And one that hadn't been over done yet. Well, it is a bit now I've noticed, but I love mine anyways! Only problem with it, is that the patent leather I used doesn't make sitting down the easiest of tasks. heh...
I still need to find some shoes, gloves and big white pompoms for the headpiece. But I've considered it done for awhile now... It took me two days to make.

The only thing I would suggest is putting some black lipstick on and some black makeup around the eyes, to make it seem as if the mask goes up to your waterline.
Also, the diamonds on your right thigh seem to be coming up.
Other than those tiny things, it's awesome! I certainly couldn't do it.

And I noticed the diamonds coming off as soon as I uploaded the photos. I really need to find a better way to stick them on, for some reason hot glue won't stick... :/
But yeah, thanks for the tips! :D

I get that whenever I post it anywheres. Haha, thanks! :D
I should work on a Poison Ivy costume though, seeing as though I'm actually a redhead and not a blonde like Harley.

Amazing for 2 days! I can't even find enough time to sew for 2 hours! (unless the baby is in bed..)
Yes, add makeup to your actual eyelid and are the diamonds just glued on?

Haha, yep, it certainly is a process to say the least. Luckily, iI have a couple full-body spandex/lycra suits (No, I'm not random, I'm a speedskater. XD) I put on first so that if I sweat it doesn't make it impossible to get off.

It stretches alright, but I've decided this costume is best for just occasional wear for posing for photos etc. I'm going to make another out of lycra for actual use because I can't sit very easily in it.
It was difficult to work with, however easier than I thought it would be. When I was paying for it all I could think was "fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck I'm gonna hate my life for this" but all in all, I wasn't too pissed whilst making it.
Good luck with yours! I can't wait to see it! <3333

Oh and another note to anyone who's thinking about using patent leather for something like this, be sure to give PLENTY of chest room and plenty of vertical length. Because you're going to want it to stretch sideways, and if you don't leave enough vertical room, you'll run into the problem I did and have to migrate the crotch a tad lower. And if you don't take, errr, 'boobage' into account, you'll also end up like me and go from a 34 C to the chest like that of a 6 year old. It feels really funny having nothing there. xD

i just love how shiny yours is... shiny but not sparkly. i found some sparkly stretch spandex stuff but it just doesn't look like it should.
course, it is very forgiving...
i should be finished (or nearly finished) this weekend so i'll definitely keep you posted! ^^

*claps excitedly* YAY!
Oh, have you ever heard of the fabric liquid metal? It's not overly stretchy, but it would provide plenty of flexibility that pleather doesn't have, but with the same-ish look.
This is a hideous example, but this is basically the fabric.

Awesome job! I wanted my cousin to be her, but it seems like it'll be hard to make since its suppose to be really fitted.

Awesome job! I wanted my cousin to be her, but it seems like it'll be hard to make since its suppose to be really fitted.Well, if you use a fabrix like lycra, it's very forgiving in terms of being a little tight here, or a little big there.
It's usually better to make it a tad smaller with lycra because it looks better stretched tight than hanging loose. Especially in the bum area. So if you were going to make one for her, I'd suggest using lycra, that was she doesn't have to be right there at all times for constant measuring like in this one.
I basically just stayed in my underwear for this whole thing I had to measure so much. Haha.

Good choice of fabric! I think she would wear something pvc-ish like that.
