I want to throw a craft night for all my girlfriends but I need some ideas on how to make it a cheap and easy craft night.
What crafts require the least supplies?
I only have 1 sewing machine and I doubt anyone I know has one they could bring
example: I can't very well do screen printing because I don't have enough embroidery hoops to go around... and that takes too long to dry!
and I can't stencil because I only have 1 exacti knife.
Or... I just had an idea myself...
I could set up STATIONS right?
Anyway please throw your ideas my way! Fun group craft or sewing ideas?
could I ask people to pitch in a couple bucks for supplies?
HELP!!!

i think stations would be awesome :)
you could ask for people to chip in since a little bit from everyone makes alot, or if they have projects they're working on, they could just bring those
they could also bring any scrap material they have that someone might be able to use?
hopefully our studio will be having another one of these sometime =p

You could do jewelry pretty easily. Just get a bunch of random items like buttons, jewels, clips, etc. You'd just need enough glue to go around.
You could make some fastenators since they're hot right now. :)
You could also do T-shirt reconstruction. Everyone would just need to bring a shirt and scissors.

OOH! You could make theatrical/mardi gras masks!
You can buy them in packs at most craft stores; if not, they're usually a buck or two a pop. You buy mass quantities of feathers, stickers, sequins, strips of fabric, etc. You can even tell your friends to bring little, random things they'd want to decorate their masks with.
Depending on how much you buy for decorations, you'd be able to get a lot for $20 (give or take a few $s).
Maybe after you make your masks, you can go partying with them...

I'm glad you like it!
(Admittedly, I've been wanting to do the same thing, but my friends aren't into crafts as much as I am. They are lame.:()
You should post pictures of what you and your friends make when you're all done and talk about your party!:D

This is completely useless, but I first read it as "Cat Fight."
LOL!

Yeah... i only have a few friends that are really crafty kind of people... but I will still invite my "uncrafty" friends to open their eyes a little. They came over to my house for my birthday and saw my big wall decal that I made (you can find that here>>> http://forum.threadbanger.com/showthread.php?t=9951) and I think they kind of had an itch to see more and learn some crafty things!
Anyway thanks for the feedback and great craft night idea!
