costumes?????/!!!!

My school does this thing every other year called haunted hallways (it's a haunted house in school...no, really?), and we get to do these little skits while the people walk through. I was assigned to be a witch, but I can't think of any ideas for a scary witch. (I know how to do the cutsie stuff, but I'm supposed to be scaring the guts out of people.) HELP!!

well you could just add guts and creepy make-up to the ThreadBanger costume that they showed friday

A few possible suggestions:

I'd say for the makeup go for dark and heavy. Don't do the typical green-with-worty-nose thing-- make your face gray and haggard, your eyes huge and wild. Wear a wig or tease your hair up all crazy like, with flour streaks for gray.

As far as the costume goes, throw together some thriftstore finds, cut them up, and make it look like things are growing off of you. Take a scissors to them, but please, please for the sake of all things DIY, don't do that typical zigzag cut that's supposed to make things look jagged in a fake costumey way (you know, \/\/\/\/\/ all along the bottom). Go for ripped up layers in several shades of black. Spatter with fabric paint, and distress, distress, distress!! (http://www.alleycatscratch.com/lotr/Fabric/Distressing.htm)

To top the costume off, definitely stick with a witch hat (love the one that Corrine made), just so people really get the idea.
