Sorry for spamming it up on the message boards, and thanks to everyone who is offering their support and feedback on my projects. Be harsh only if you're going to be helpful, please and thank you <3

This is a Mighty Mouse dress I made last night. I'm showing my first draft and the revisions I made this afternoon. It's my first attempt at something like this (long-sleeved dress) and my first attempt at tights. It's far from perfect, so any advice would be awesome.

FIRST DRAFT:

http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r115/TomotheCat/mm4.jpg** My first cowl neck. I didn't make the necklace, but I wish I could say I did!

What I did: Took in the sides to make it more form fitting at the bust of the dress.
Evened the hemline (I left it raw, 'cause it won't fray)
Added some buttons to the dress.
topstitched, etc (I don't serge, I ziggity zaggity)
Made the tights ... tighter? at the knee. But I still need to take them in a bit more. Also, I would have made them longer but I ran out of fabric.

Fatal flaws I spotted:
The stripes don't match up :( I tried, but this fabric wanted to curl and move around when I tried to pin it. Plus, I made the sleeves too wide and had to take them in. Ugh. If anyone has tips for lining stripes, please help.
The buttons are slliiiiiightly uneven. But maybe no one will notice.

Cute!

I'm not 100% sure, but sometimes it helps to try to line up the stripes during the cutting stage, even before you pin it together? I know when I did my one calico-y skirt, I actually held the piece of fabric I'd just cut into one skirt side next to the part where I was just about to cut, and then cut the 2nd piece accordingly.

It's not 100% perfect, and it's at an angle b/c of the cut of my skirt, but if you look at the seamline, I managed to match purple to purple and pink to pink.

I think the buttons are fine!
